Food banks are run by charities and non-profit organisations and mainly run by volunteers. They provide a minimum of 3 days' emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis.

- Grassmoor Methodist Church provide a community lunch available to everyone. £5 per person - every Thursday during term time starting at 12.00noon.

- Eckington Community Pantry open 10.30am-3pm every Wednesday, there is a £2 membership fee and £3.50 to fill a bag for life with 15 items per family/individual. Eckington Community Pantry
The Community Pantry, in Eckington, is designed to support people with their weekly shop. This is a community shop where people make a donation for their shopping.
The Community Pantry is open every Wednesday from 10.30am - 3.00pm at Eckington Business Centre and is open to people living in the Eckington Parish and surrounding areas.
There is a one-off joining fee of £2 which gets you a reusable hessian bag and membership card.
From then on, there is a £5.00 charge each session which allows you to choose 15 items plus free fruit and vegetables from the Community Pantry. There are good quality food and household goods available.
