We have continued our community work in Holmewood and Heath during the past few months.
In July, August and September, we ran three sessions at Holmewood Library and on the field behind, in conjunction with Holmewood Library and Samba Sports.
The sessions consisted of craft activities and sports sessions.
An average of 15 children joined in with the craft activities with their adults. Activities included designing their own kites, rock painting and junk modelling.
Around 12 young people (mostly aged 9-13 years) took part in Samba sports on the field outside the library.
This project has proved to be successful, with more families accessing the library on a regular basis, which was the main aim of the project.
