We have received some information about a Digital Connect Project, which is available to any residents living in North East Derbyshire, offering easy access to residents to learn digital skills whether basic or more advanced support.

Digital Connect is funded by NEDDC Healthy NE Partnership and the UK Prosperity Fund achieving great success over the last 2 years working within communities. They work closely with local community groups, charities, council's and other organisations to try to fill the gaps of digital skills support available.

The project is open to all adults (18+) with s focus on ensuring they reach the widest possible audience with the overarching aims to increase digital inclusion and remove barriers:

  • Access - not everyone has the ability to connect to the internet and go online
  • Skills - not everyone has the ability to use the internet and online services
  • Confidence - some people fear online crime, lack trust or don’t know where to start online
  • Motivation - not everyone sees why using the internet could be relevant and helpful.

They offer basic 1-2-1 support, group support within communities, virtual calls and support via differing channels to deliver Employability Skills training.  A full list of outreach locations are shown on their website:
