More groups are signing up to learn the indoor game of Kurling!

It's like outdoor curling but without the ice and can be played by everyone on most floor surfaces!

Rykneld Homes has taken kurling to several groups at local community centres and we are delighted that the game appears to have really caught on.

We now have lots of groups that are playing kurling as one of their social activities in areas such as:

  • Apperknowle
  • Clay Cross
  • Eckington
  • Holmewood
  • Holmgate
  • Killamarsh
  • North Wingfield
  • Renishaw

Lots of people have become involved on a regular basis in these groups across the district, why not come along to one and give it a try?

Indoor kurling can be played by all age groups and abilities and can be played from a standing position, or the comfort of your chair, meaning even those with limited mobility can join in the fun.

Rykneld Homes are keen to encourage more older people to become socially active and we are encouraging kurling groups to be formed at local social and community centres. Customers at our Marx Court sheltered flats complex in Clay Cross are now enjoying regular sessions too.
