We recently invited a number of customers and residents to a trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
Broadleys Community Group approached our Community Involvement Team to apply for Neighbourhood Improvement Budget funding so that they could organise a trip for the group.
The Community Involvement Team saw how beneficial the trip would be and provided the funding needed for the coach journey to and from the park. Broadleys Community Group also kindly made spaces available to the wider community. Rykneld Homes promoted this to other local residents to encourage relationships within the community and people came along from Marx Court and our North Wingfield Afternoon Tea sessions.

Jason Sadler, Community Involvement Officer, said "This trip has helped to build relationships in the area and encouraged residents to socialise with each other and have the opportunity to get out of the home and exercising. We supported customers with mobility issues by pushing them in wheelchairs or providing free hire of mobility scooters.
"We also arranged a disabled access coach with a lift to further support our customers with needs. We arranged the tickets and funded the coach journey and a fun day was had by all!"
